A: Building from within an IDE

In this section of the site I show the reader how to build the examples from the SDK using code::blocks and how to set up an efficient development environment to maximise productivity and testing of your plugins. While I learnt a lot by using a combination of separate tools including a text editor, compiler and build tool (Scons), I have been lured into using an integrated development environment (IDE) to make life easy. Code::blocks can be set up to work with a number of compilers and also works on different platforms, so familiarity with it might help you in future programming endeavours.
